Insights on Inclusion Podcast with Marc Brenman

This Insights on Inclusion podcast interview features an interview with Marc Brenman.

Marc has served several high-level positions related to equity, inclusion and civil rights at the state and federal levels, including as Executive Director of the Washington State Human Rights Commission and as Senior Policy Advisor for Civil Rights in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation. He has worked in civil rights since 1973, primarily for the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education. He’s currently a consultant to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

He co-authored the book (with Tom Sanchez) The Right to Transportation: Moving to Equity (APA, 2008). He continues to work in the field of transportation, most recently by consulting with Public Advocates in their big win in the San Francisco Bay Area BART social equity case, which resulted in $70 million being withheld from the agency by the Federal Transit Administration.

One final note: there are a few audio glitches in the file that unfortunately we were not able to remove in post production editing. We hope you enjoy the podcast and the chance to hear more about Marc’s impressive contributions to the field.
